The winged eye:
A steady hand and patients are all you need to perfect this look.
- Cut a piece of cello tape about 2cm and stick it on the outer edge of your eyes, in the direction you want the wing to be.
- Using your eye pencil, trace along the edge of the angle to draw the wing and using the tape as a guide.
- To finish, extend the line along your upper lash line.
Ombre eye:
The secret to any Ombre eye, is knowing how to blend properly.
- Apply a primer of your choice over your eyelids. This will prevent the eyeshadow from creasing.
- Line the base of the top of your eyelashes with black eyeliner to the outside corner of your eye. Now blend and soften the line with a make-up brush.
- In circular motions apply your preferred blue eyeshadow colur over your eyelid. This will be your base colour. A darker shade will work best.
- Now choose a lighter blue shade than the base colour, apply this colour from the crease in your eye to the outer edge of your eyebrow.
- With a blending brush, blend the areas where the two colours meet to create a smooth Ombre effect.
- Finish off your look with mascara.
Tips for wearing blue eye shadow:
- Go for a more natural lip colour when wearing a brightly coloured eye.
- Keep the colours simple. Two shades is simple but will leave a lasting impression.
- When applying eyeliner free hand, make sure to rest your elbows on a flat steady surface. This will help you control your hand movements.
